The Candy Bomber

This is a piece of history you may not have known and one that shouldn’t be forgotten. It brought back a memory that we probably would never have thought of. And as we enter the Christmas season, it is worthwhile to take time out to appreciate the meaning of the season and the impact that a single person can have.

Back after World War II, we used to make parachutes out of handkerchiefs, string, and a rock. We would throw them up in the air just to watch them float down. Now I know where that idea came from. We never had many toys then.

Enjoy this video. It is from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s 2013 Christmas show. It is about 10 minutes long, but well worth the time and definitely a wonderful tribute. It is narrated by newsman Tom Brokaw.
